Surgery is now the largest division at NNUH, with ambitions to continue expanding to ensure we can provide the highest degree of patient care.

Our Surgery Division
You have an opportunity to be part of this fantastic Division, working in a word leading, pioneering department dedicated to forward thinking and cutting edge procedures and the best outcome for patients.
Our Division is divided into speciality areas covering outpatient and ward settings, with Theatres, Recovery, Day Procedure, Critical Care and Emergency & Urgent Care.
With dedicated education teams in Surgical Wards, Theatres Critical Care and the Emergency Department we offer new and exciting roles for the right people to advance their careers fully support as advanced clinical practitioners, nurse practitioners, surgical care practitioners or clinical nurse specialists.
Wherever you choose to work our Division is a great platform for any staff wishing to establish their surgical career or provide a great foundation for the future!
Career progression
Many of our career pathways lead successful candidates into clinical specialist and advanced practitioner roles or into a leadership roles within the Division. We use alternate roles to enhance our patient care, introducing alternative positions for staff to progress and develop their skills and knowledge to improve patient outcome and experience.

Interesting Specialities
We have speciality specific departments who care for a range of patient groups and areas you can specialise in. We are fortunate to run some of the largest specialised surgical services in the country. We are advancing our surgical skills in advanced robotic and cancer surgery, including in Urology, Colorectal, Thoracics and Head & Neck services, as well as operating a wide range of other techniques.
