The Day Procedure Unit team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is one of the major day surgery Units in East Anglia, treating approximately 14,000 patients a year for various day surgeries.
Simultaneously, the team continues to review and expand its services to more patients, with greater complexity of procedures.
The unit consists of seven operating theatres, a recovery area, six wards areas, a procedure room and a 12 roomed pre-operative clinic.
The Day Procedure Unit plays a vital role in education and training of nurses (both paediatric and general), operating department practitioners, and trainee anaesthetists in the speciality of day surgery.
