Come and join us as we start our exciting new developments and expansions in surgical care at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. These developments have created opportunities for Theatre Practitioners, both Theatre Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners, to join and add to the ambitions of this already exceptional division.

The Surgical Division at NNUH is already one of the largest Divisions within the Trust with 29 theatres including General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Emergency Surgery and Obstetrics.

This year the trust will be opening a brand new Paediatric Theatre complex, working in collaboration with the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital based at the NNUH. We will also be continuing to work towards recognition as a Centre of Excellence for Robotic Surgery. Further development across the division will see an additional 5 Theatres opening as an ambulatory suite for patients requiring plastic and orthopaedic surgery.

As the 6th largest acute trust in the UK we are looking for experienced ODPs and Theatre Nurses who share the enthusiasm and ambition of the division as we continue to grow. And who are passionate about delivering high quality care to our patients.

We offer a wide range of specialisms within theatres at NNUH and any successful candidates will receive superb training and development opportunities in a forward thinking and innovative department.

We are proud of our modern, purpose built Hospital on the outskirts of Norwich, one of the Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Live in 2021’. A city that has retained a strong local identity & history and developed a thriving independent food and shopping scene throughout the famous cobbled streets and at the award winning Best British Market. For those wanting to explore the great outdoors Norfolk offers 90 miles of stunning coastline, the beautiful Norfolk Broads as well as the wide open spaces and picturesque rolling countryside.

If you are an ODP or Theatre Nurse who shares our passion and ambition and want to enjoy our unique setting with a mix of vibrant city life, relaxed outdoors and country pursuits then this is the opportunity to you. Send your application today!
