The Unit
Our innovative orthopaedic department is a busy regional trauma centre offering a range of elective and trauma care to the region.
Patients are cared for on two dedicated orthopaedic wards and within a dynamic outpatient department, where 8,500 orthopaedic procedures, 54,000 outpatient appointments and 4,500 pre- admission appointments are undertaken annually.
We provide an upper and lower limb and spinal service as well as paediatric orthopaedics.

Our Staff
The department now has 20 orthopaedic consultants including an academic reader at the University of East Anglia. The team is supported by Nurses across all bands and Occupational Therapists among others.
